We’re pleased to announce that along with our parent company apetito, we’ve won our third Queen’s Award.

History of the Award

Operating since 1966 and awarded to businesses selected for outstanding achievements, winners of the Queen’s Award are selected based on the advice of the Prime Minister and an Advisory Committee to the Queen. Winners are announced annually on 21st April - Her Majesty’s birthday!

Why we've won!

We’ve won our award for Sustainable Development, meaning we have shown to produce our delicious meals in an ethical and sustainable way, always with a passion for service.

Here are just a few reasons how we’re making a real difference...

Increasing Health and Wellbeing

Our chefs and in-house dietitian work together to make sure our meals are both tasty and nutritious. We’re proud to cater for a variety of appetites, from Hearty Meals to our award-winning Mini Meals Extra range, as well as a range of dietary needs, including our previous Queen’s Award-winning Softer Foods ranges - perfect for those with swallowing difficulties.

Committed to you

Great service is at the heart of what we do. Our friendly trained drivers, who are local to you, are committed to going that extra mile, so you can be sure to always have service with a smile.

We try to prepare our meals in a way that respects the environment, our suppliers and of course our customers. That’s why 100% of our fish is sustainably sourced, we’re founding members of the UK Plastics Pact and we work with WRAP & other leading organisations to tackle the recycling challenge.

Local produce

Good food always starts with great ingredients, so we’re proud to support the British Food and Farming industry where we can - for example, all of our peas are 100% British! Also, over 90% of our meals and puds are made in Wiltshire - our home for over 25 years.

Ian Stone, Managing Director of Wiltshire Farm Foods, says; “Winning this award, our third in total, demonstrates our commitment not only building a sustainable business in terms of our environmental impact, but also a commitment to our team and community. We employ over 1000 staff across the UK, from those in our Wiltshire home, to our local teams in the Scottish Highlands and Cornwall. This award is a testament to all our staff and the incredible work they do to make a real difference every day.”

Now in its 53rd year, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to proudly display the esteemed Queen’s Award emblem for the next five years.

Ian continues; “Winning just one of these awards is difficult, to win three, and our second in three years, is an incredible achievement.”
